Residential Roof Repair – Pasadena, CA

Floricita Residence

This approximately 2,000 sq ft residence and detached garage in Pasadena had three layers of roofing – including one layer of wood shingles – and a leaking rooftop AC unit. Upon inspection, it was determined that this roof was past its serviceable lifespan and it was time for replacement.

Because the original installation was over spaced sheathing, new CDX plywood was needed at the entire roof prior to the installation of a new Title-24 compliant, reflective shingle. After reviewing samples of potential options, GAF Timberline Reflector Series in Charcoal was selected as the product for the house and garage.

To reduce heat in the attic, nine O’Hagins attic vents were installed, and Costa Roofing worked directly with an HVAC contractor to ensure a water-tight installation.

This installation was completed during the Bobcat fire and the smokey air is obvious in the photos, but the new shingles look great!
