Office Building – Silicone Restoration

This office building on Santa Monica Blvd. had several leaks. Three years prior, approximately 25% of the roof had been restored with a silicone coating system and due to access issues and budget limitations, removing this roof was not an option.

We inspected the roof and found that the existing area of silicone had been professionally installed and a bleed out of the primer was visible around the coating. The color of the primer helped us to determine the manufacturer of the coating so the same product could be used across the entire roof.

Considerable buildup of trash and debris was bagged and walked down the stairs, the roof was pressure washed and primed and then coated with a silicone restoration. To tie into the previously coated areas, the existing silicone was scuffed and cleaned and then coated with APOC Miracle coat, a high solids silicone that is used to bond with existing silicone.

This roof no longer leaks!
