This medical office building in Downey had a decommissioned cell tower that needed to be removed. The general contractor coordinating the project ran into some unexpected delays during the demo process, and to make matters worse, the weather forecast changed and rain was coming.
Costa was contracted to patch the opening into the existing roof. Perlite recover board was used to match the profile of the existing roof and the area was patch with torch-applied APP modified rubber membrane.
The perimeter of the roof was three-coursed with acrylic white mastic for extra reinforcement.
