Medical Building – Phase 1 PVC Installation

Before
After

When our client took over this property, the roof was a mess. More than 30 areas of the building had leaks and the facility was struggling to remain operational during rainstorms.

Because of budgetary limits, re-roofing the entire facility was not possible, but the leaks needed to be stopped. It was determined that the rear portion of the building had the most vital operations, so the decision was made to start by reroofing that portion of the roof, while making large repairs on the remaining leak area.

Two layers of roofing existed, but to meet the budget and maximize the square footage to be completed, the decision was made to remove only the top layer – as allowed by city code – then install a Dens Deck cover board and a 60mil PVC roof membrane.

To tie into the existing roof at the transition, both sides, new and old, were fastened down with termination bar, cleaned thoroughly, scuffed with a grinder and then coated with RoofPro 640.

The rear portion of this building no longer has leaks!
