At only 400sq ft, this wasn’t one of the largest projects of the year, but this mansard posed some difficult issues!
As part of an exterior remodel, the owner decided to remove the damaged wood shake with a triple-laminated, presidential style shingle.
The existing wood shake and underlying wood shingles were removed and new plywood sheathing was installed to the entire area. Because of the narrow lots in this area, accessing the sides of the mansard was extremely difficult and it took great care to ensure worker safety while working from ladders.
The finished house looks brand new!
